Flats under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana have attained full-fledged fabrication in Pimpri and Akurdi. About 11 thousand citizens have applied. Landge’s attention was drawn to this draw. However, the reservation of the respective seats as ‘houses for the homeless’ has lead to a technical difficulty. Therefore, MLA Mahesh Landge consistently appealed to the Municipal Administration (PMAY) and Urban Planning Department of the State Government that the Municipal Administration should implement a scheme like Housing for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) instead of Housing for the Homeless (HDH) and make the rightful residence available to the beneficiaries early through lucky draw.

Meanwhile, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Administration has finally decided to pin the beneficiaries for the project set up in Pimpri and Akurdi under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana project. For that, on January 20, 2024, a ‘lucky draw’ will be drawn at Ramakrishna More Auditorium starting at 9 am. By the given information it is clear that what is pmay yojna

Initially, the projects at Pimpri and Akurdi were set up for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. After that, since the plot was for the purpose of houses for the homeless, there were technical difficulties in carrying out the allotment process. During the Mahavikas Aghadi rule, this issue was boldly ignored. So even when the project was ceased, the beneficiaries couldn’t be determined by drawing lots.

During the Mahayuti government, MLA Landge requested the state’s urban development department to make the purpose of the plot as ‘houses for economically weaker sections’. After getting the approval, the administration was notified to conduct a ‘lottery’ process to peg out the beneficiaries. Accordingly, the municipal administration has taken action.
