Indian National Congress on Saturday stated that Rahul ghandhi Bharat Jodo Yatra aims for social upliftment. The move is totally ideological based, and not carrying any political agenda behind it. Several ruling party asserted that Congress is trying to attract attention just for some pathetic votes.
Congresss stated that Rahul ghandhi Bharat Jodo Yatra motive is to end ‘Anyay Kal’ of ten years by Narendra Modi led Government. The party aims for a “transformative” yatra similar to Rahul Gandhi’s earlier cross-country march.
The March will pass through 15 Lok Sabha constituencies whilst covering a 6713 km distance including 110 districts. The foot Yatra is expected to end on March 20 or 21 in Mumbai.
West Bengal Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that whether the foot march is successful or not, it is a fight for ideology.
“This is an ideological struggle… On the pious occasion of Makar Sankranti, this yatra is beginning from Manipur for justice. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, this yatra will go from east to west, from Manipur to Mumbai. Successful or unsuccessful is a different thing; this is a fight for ideology. Only the ideology of the Congress Party can save the country,” Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury told ANI.
“This Rahul ghandhi Bharat Jodo Yatra has nothing to do with the elections or the victory or defeat in the elections. This is only to bring the ideology of Congress among the people,” he added.
